According to François Lyotard, in The Inhuman: Reflections on Time,

If humans are born human, as cats are born cats (within a few hours), it would not be [...] possible to educate them. That children have to be educated is a circumstance which only proceeds from the fact that they are not completely led by nature, not programmed.
