  2. No, but the same time they are, because everything depends on your belief. For example in the text for people believed in the missionary, she needed say water boiled, was some spirits so people believed and started to give this water for the babies and they stopped to die.

  3. In my opinion witchcraft and science are diferente, but both walk together. The belief does the witchcraft happen and after the Science bring the explanation for this phenomenon.
Back on the day, the people thought that the fire or the flames that appeared around the cemetery were death or misfortune warning. The indian believe fervently that is a monster that tries to set on fire the field.
Nowadays the Science already discovered the this phenomenon happen because of the Match detachment ( P ) of the vegetable, animal, human organism, that enters in touch with the atmosphere and catches fire.
However the Science show the reason for this flames, have people mostly inside the Brazil that don´t believe in this explanation.
I have a sister that because of the religion believes that the blood does badly to the body, and she doesn´t receives and neither it hurt.
I think important that the people have belief, but is necessary take care when the subject is health. For example, in the text when Sr. Edward Evans-Pritchard saw a flash of flame in the bush, if he really believes in witchcraft he just would feel fear. Already in the other case of water, if the missionary didn´t have another idea a lot children would have died.
